founded in 2004 as the NEW local chapter of the IEEE Consumer
Electronics Society, we are growing rapidly in keeping engineers
connected with the different markets, technologies and
applications within Consumer Electronics.

Dallas Chapter of the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society meets on a
monthly basis. The meetings typically include a presentation
by a guest speaker. There are no membership requirements to attend
our meetings.

Communications
and Vehicular Technology Society (CVT) Chairman:

Society Overview The Dallas
Chapter of the IEEE Communications and Vehicular Technology
Society "CVT" is an active participant in the Dallas,
Texas local telecommunications community. Since 1981, the CVT
Society has been a source for professional development and
education to its members and other professionals within the
communications industry. Since 1981, we have consistently provided
high quality activities, attracted Dallas Metroplex area members
to our organization, promoted engineering excellence, and strived
to increase student involvement.

computer and information processing technology. Through its

& Electro-Optics Society (LEOS) Chairman:

Society Overview The
Field of Interest of the Society shall be lasers, optical devices,
optical fibers, and associated lightwave technology and their
applications in systems and subsystems in which quantum electronic
devices are key elements. The society is concerned with the
research, development, design, manufacture, and applications of
materials, devices and systems, and with the various scientific
and technological activities which contribute to the useful
expansion of the field of quantum electronics and applications.

Microwave
Theory & Techniques Society (MTTS) Chairman:

Society
Overview The IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society
(MTT-S) is a transnational society with more than 9,000 members
and 80 chapters worldwide. Our society promotes the advancement of
microwave theory and its application at frequencies usually from
0.2 GHz to 1000 GHz and beyond. For more than 20 years the MTT-S
has worked to advance the professional standing of its members and
enhance the quality of life for all people through the development
and application of microwave technology. As we enter into an
exciting future our mission is to continue to understand and
influence microwave technology. The activities sponsored by the
MTT-S include a broad spectrum of conferences, workshops,
tutorials, technical committees, chapter meetings, publications
and professional education programs.

& Propagation Society (APS) Chairman:

Society Overview Experimental
and theoretical advances in antennas including design and
development, and in the propagation of electromagnetic waves
including scattering, diffraction and interaction with continuous
media; and applications pertinent to antennas and propagation,
such as remote sensing, applied optics, and millimeter and
